Catching up with the Beat

Wow...It has been a busy month! We have participated in many many events, and trying to reach out to as many people as possible to spread the word, gather some excitement, sell tickets, and even raise awareness of a few causes of other people's.

We have attended events for local clubs, mostly tournaments, but some board meetings and training sessions, in order to talk to the locals. The soccer community is the place to be, and that is where the Beat will really connect with the fans. Ultimately, we'd like to run sessions for some of the local clubs, have our players make appearances, and even put together a camp for all soccer enthusiasts to join in on the excitement, and the knowledge that we have to offer. In the Cobb Area there are SO many soccer clubs, and there are plenty of opportunities for the Beat to really help and develop the brand of the WPS, as well as the level of play in the area. It will be a win-win for all people of all ages who play, follow, or just like soccer.

Another very important event we attended was the YWCA Peace Love and Dignity 5k run. This was a run in support of those speaking out against Domestic Violence. It was a successful event and even though it was a frigid morning, everyone was really excited to be there. In the end, we were presented with the "Spirit Award," which was really fun!
